After 2.5 years in Minot, ND we finally got our orders. We are leaving this snow drifting / March Blizzards / flat farm land and we're moving ... to Turkey!
We are so excited for this opportunity. We have heard nothing but great things about the base and the area. We are going to buy hand woven rugs and hand crafted furniture. We are thinking of designing our own personal rockin' chairs! What a great way to create a memory in Turkey and then something to pass down the lines ... if you know what I mean!
The wife of the Optometrist in Turkey has been so great. She has been giving me great information about the base, possible jobs, things to do, things to say away from, and all in all just been a good friend. I do hope we get to meet before she has to leave Turkey.
We only have 3 months and 2 weeks until we move! Things are happening so fast. We still need to get our passports and the cat's health papers! My plan was to get a lot of this stuff done today, but I was snowed in by a March Blizzard. Yeah, I'm not going to miss North Dakota all that much!
